Obituary

AUBURN – Edna M. (Barriere) Scerra, 84, formerly of Boyce St. died Saturday, February 14 in the Christopher House after an illness.

Her husband Philip J. Scerra died in 1978. She leaves two sons Donald Scerra of Virginia Beach, VA and Gerald Scerra of Worcester; a daughter Paula Kearney Cuff of Aston, PA; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester daughter of Alfred and Emma (Contois) Barriere and has lived in Auburn all her life.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Auburn Historical Society. She was a clerk for Economy Distribution for 25 years retiring in 1989.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 17 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, (www.RoyFuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street, Worcester with a mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Monday, February 16 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140.
