John A. McDougall, 78, of Newman Avenue, Johnston, a retired Johnston Police Officer, died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Hospice Inpatient Center, in Providence. He was the husband of Mary A. (Moran) McDougall.
Born in Providence, a son of the late John J. and Josephine V. (Miller) McDougall. He lived in Johnston since 1966. He had served in the US Navy and US Air Force.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children: John J. McDougall and his wife, Monica, of Cumberland, William A. McDougall, David M. McDougall and his wife, Robin, and Heather McDougall all of Johnston, a brother , Albert McDougall of CA and 7 grandchildren. He was the father of the late Scott A. McDougall .
His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday morningat 9:30am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be in Highland Park, Johnston. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Home and Hospice of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
