Lorraine M. (Lennington) Westgate was granted her angel wings August 5, 2011. She was 83 years old.
Born in Moonarque, NJ in 1928, to the late William and Margarett (Whittington) Lennington. She was married to the late Frederick D. Westgate, Jr. for 54 years. Together they had 4 children; Clifford Westgate of FL, Richard Westgate of Rochester, the late Carolann Westgate and Joann Lannan of New Bedford.
Prior to retirement, she had worked for the former Cornel & Dublier Manufacturing of New Bedford. Mrs. Westgate was a resident of Sacred Heart Nursing Home. She was also a member of the Mt. Carmel Senior Center and Dartmouth Council on Aging. Mrs. Westgate enjoyed ceramics, painting, latch hook rugs and sharing stories of time past with family and friends. She especially enjoyed Saturday morning adventure with her granddaughter Holli.
Mrs. Westgate is also survived by her brother: William Lennington of PA; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes funeral arrangements are private.
