BEVERLY: Miriam J. (Davidson) Stuart, 81, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in the Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Everett W. Stuart who died in 2005.
Born in Lynn on May 9, 1930, she was the daughter of the late James and Florence (Fenna) Davidson. She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and has resided in Beverly for over sixty years.
Miriam was employed as a quality control inspector at Varian Associates in Beverly for over twenty-five years. She and her loving husband met at a dance, fell in love and continued to dance several nights a week for many years.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy J. and her husband, Robert P. Laverdiere and Kathleen A. Stuart all of Beverly and Barbara L. Ricker of Peabody; a son, Shane D. Stuart and his companion, Diane Nessinger of Beverly; three grandchildren, Scott Ricker, Emily Laverdiere and Patrick Curran; two great-grandchildren, Maya Curran and Angelina Ricker; two sisters, Charlotte Lane of Bradenton, FL and Arlene and her husband, Jack Worth of Lynn; two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Peterson of Peabody and Shirley Davidson of Bradenton, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother, James Davidson and a sister, Shirley Moran.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 9th in the Immanuel Church, 140 Bridge Street, Beverly at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Monday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 4 – 7 p.m. Interment will be held in the North Beverly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Immanuel Church, 140 Bridge St., Beverly, MA 01915.
