Beatrice A. Beaudoin 95, formerly of Woodland Rd. died Monday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Herve A. Beaudoin. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Ludger and Lumina (Lozeau) Poirier. Mrs. Beaudoin worked as a spinner for the former Bonin Spinning Co,. for many years, and then retired in 1983 from Woonsocket Hospital where she worked in housekeeping and as a central supply aide. She was a former member of St. Joseph Sr. Citizens, and the Royal Travelers. She enjoyed traveling, jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards. Mrs. Beaudoin was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter Suzanne Cote and her husband Senator Marc Cote of Woonsocket, grandchildren, Justin Cote of Dorchester, MA, and Monique Cote of East Providence, a brother Daniel Poirier of Tucson, AZ, and a sister Edith Champagne of North Smithfield. She was pre -deceased by siblings Armand, Arthur, Wilbrod, Henri, and Edmond Poirier, Violet Archambault, Lea Pepin, Virginie Charpentier, and Lillian Chapedelaine.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 PM.
