LEICESTER: Mary J. (Anusauskas) Sutkus 90, of 27 Redfield Rd., in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Monday, August 1 in Parsons Hill Nursing & Rehab Center in Worcester.
She was the wife of Vincent J. Sutkus who died in 2000. She leaves three sons; Vincent P. Sutkus and John A. Sutkus both of Cherry Valley and Ronald W. Sutkus and his wife Karen of Rutland, two sisters Mildred Gondek of Michigan City, Ind., and Estelle Kozarnowicz of Worcester, her grand daughter Elyse Sutkus of Rutland, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother Anthony Tamulevich and a sister Monica Dupont.
Mary was a secretary at Worcester Hahnemann Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1985.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., she was the daughter of John A. and Helen (Walentukevicius) Anusauskas. She later graduated from the former Commerce High in Worcester. She was a member of the Lithuanian Women’s Club in Worcester and a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Leicester.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, from the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St. Leicester with a Mass at 10a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 759 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5 to 7p.m. Flowers may be sent or contributions made to a charity of choice.
