Kristin Marie (Rockett) Snyder, 32, of Hartwell, GA, died at Northridge Medical Center, Commerce, GA as a result of injuries sustained in a single car accident on July 13, 2011.
Born on October 14, 1978 in Worcester, she was the loving daughter of Jean (Daly) Rockett of Salem, formerly of Chelmsford and Carnesville, GA and the late Mark Rockett.
Kristin was a 1996 graduate of Chelmsford High School. She held a bachelor’s degree in photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and a master’s degree in education from the University of Phoenix. She was owner of Snyder’s Photography in Hartwell, GA and a former art teacher in the Hartwell, GA schools. Most recently she was pursuing a second master’s degree in education from North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, GA.
In addition to her mother, she leaves her husband, David Snyder; one daughter, Emily Snyder; two sons, Jake and Aidan Snyder, all of Hartwell, GA; 2 sisters, Katherine Rockett of Salem, Janelle Blakely and her husband Josh of Carnesville, GA; her grandparents, Ernest and Rose Daly of Salem, and Ruth Rockett of Peabody; many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends. Kristin was preceded by her grandfather, William Rockett; and uncle, Ernest Daly, Jr.
Funeral services were held in Hartwell, GA at Crossroads Baptist Church; burial was in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
Plans are currently underway for a Memorial Service to be held Columbus Day weekend in Chelmsford.
