Germaine E. Duval, 86, of Manchester died July 30, 2011 at her residence after a sudden illness.
She was born in Nashua on February 24, 1925, the daughter of Horatio and Bernice (Kirkland) Lamb. She was educated in the Nashua school system and graduated Nashua High School in 1942.
Prior to retirement, she had worked at the Gale Home in Manchester for 18 years. Previously, she had worked for Dr. V.C. Bragg for many years.
Germaine loved to play cards with her family and friends and enjoyed square dancing with her husband. They had both been members of the Heal & Toe Square Dance Club. She also enjoyed shopping and knitting. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished the time spent with her family.
Her husband Edmond L. Duval died in 2001.
Family members include her daughter Donna E. Petterson and her husband William of Candia; three sons, Donald E. Duval and his wife Janice of Manchester, David E. Duval and his wife Margie McEvoy of Auburn, Dennis E. Duval of Manchester; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren;
A funeral liturgy was held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 in the Lambert Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the new St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
