Julia Rose Masci, a longtime resident of Melrose, died on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Epoch Senior Health Care in Melrose following a lengthy illness. She was 90 years old.
Julia was born in Malden on September 15, 1920 to the late Joseph and Angeline (Guariglia) Masci. She grew up in Melrose where she attended Melrose Public Schools and graduated from Melrose High School in 1939. Julia worked as an Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover for over 27 years. Julia was also involved with her father in the family business as a realtor for Masci Realtors in Malden. She was a member of the Women's Guild at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield and enjoyed animals especially dogs.
Julia is the beloved sister of Martha Grande of Florida and the late Joseph Masci. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and several dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Julia on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose. Her Funeral Services and burial will be private.
