Norma K. Swails, 71, of Omega, Georgia died Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at 4 PM at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronny Youngblood and the Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Swails was born February 5, 1940 in Plant City, Florida. Moving from Miami, FL, she had lived in Omega, GA for the past 40 years. She was a member of Omega Baptist Church and was a former employee of Fitzgerald Underwear.
Mrs. Swails is survived by her husband, Glenn Swails of Omega, GA; Son: Gordon (Lamora) Brainard of Tampa, FL; Sisters: Sandra (Ralph) Cobb and Wanda Stanford, all of Fitzgerald; Brother: Kenneth R. (Mayo) Murrell of Melbourne, FL; 2 Grandchildren and one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Inez Palmer and a sister, Sheila Nelson.
