Kenneth, A. Coughlin, Jr., 52 of Brockton, died July 29, 2011 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center after a year long battle with Leukemia. He was the son of Crystal A. (Nickell) Coughlin and the late Kenneth A. Coughlin, Sr. Ken was a 1977 graduate of Brockton High School and received his Associates degree in Business Administration from Massasoit Community College. He had been an employee at Shaws Supermarket for 25 years until his illness. Ken enjoyed all types of music and attended many concerts in the area. He also enjoyed attending Art Museums, photography, bicycling and working out at the gym.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a sister Robin L. Coughlin and her fiancé John Tarvis of N. Dighton and a brother David A. Coughlin of Brockton. He was the nephew of Kirby Nickell, Bonetta McDonald, Donna Moore and J.C. Nickell and also leaves several cousins including Rick and Tom Coughlin.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 4-7pm. Funeral Service in the First Baptist Church of Norwood, 71 Bond Street, Norwood, Wednesday at 10am. Burial in Furnace Village Cemetery, South Easton.
