Barbara A. (Crabtree) Gatto, 67, of Ledge Ave. died Thursday, July 28 in Overlook Masonic Home after an illness.
Her husband of 41 years Paul F. Gatto died in 2003. She leaves three sons Neil A. Gatto and his wife Patti of Webster, John P. Gatto and his wife Cheryl L. of Nashville, TN and Todd S. Gatto and his wife Cheryl A. of Fitchburg, a daughter Lori J. Manseau and her husband Peter of Charlton, six grandchildren Christine, Jacob, Sarah, Katherine, Keith & Autumn and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother Ronald Crabtree.
Mrs. Gatto was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Annie (Hague) Crabtree. She was a secretary and treasurer at the First Congregational Church of Spencer for many years before retiring. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Spencer and was active with their women’s fellowship. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, counted cross stitch and quilting.
A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 11:00 AM in the First Congregational Church of Spencer, 205 Main Street, Spencer. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215. J. Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements.
