Obituary

Marjorie M. (Mutch) DePrato, 87, of New Bedford, died July 19, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louis D. DePrato.

Born in Rockland, Maine, the daughter of the late James and Myrtle (Sedgwick) Mutch, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.

She was formerly employed as a housekeeper at St. Luke's Hospital for 18 years until her retirement.

Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She especially enjoyed family trips to Maine.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Nightlinger and her husband Larry of Rochester; a son, Michael DePrato and his wife Nancy of Charlotte, North Carolina; a granddaughter, Tina Beijar and her husband Christopher of Fairhaven; a grandson-in-law, Kenneth Resendes of Rochester; four great-grandchildren, Chrissie and Justin Resendes, both of Rochester, and Lucy and Eli Beijar, both of Fairhaven; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late James DePrato, grandmother of the late Christy Resendes and sister of the late Lawrence Mutch and Mary Ranquist.

Her graveside service will be held on Friday, September 9th at 1115 AM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, c/o Team Family Ties, Kathleen Nightlinger, 69 Alley Rd., Rochester, MA 02770. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett.
