Carmela M. (Silvestro) Magno, of Somerville, died peacefully Thursday morning at Medford Extended Care Center. She was 76.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and the late Grazia (Barri) Silvestro. A long-time Somerville resident, she was devoted to her family and friends.
The loving mother of the late Maria Magno, she was the former wife of Nicola Magno of Stoneham. She was a dear sister of the late Concetta M. Silvestro, Frank Silvestro and a devoted aunt of Grace O'Connell of Somerville and many other dear nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday July 30th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 262 Washington Street, Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
