Miss Mary John Stevens, age 49, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2011 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born on August 4, 1961 in Rockingham County, to the late Joseph Stephen and Theresa Haskins Somers. Miss Somers is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Jeffery Wilson, of Lewisville; one aunt, Sue Knox; and four cousins, Clark Knox, Ben (Angie) Knox, Caleb Knox, and Megan Knox. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Dennis Barnette officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens in Reidsville with Rev. David Huggings officiating. The family will receive friends on from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
