William V. Stanovitch, 60, of Norton, passed away surrounded by his adoring family, in the comfort of his home on Wednesday July 27, 2011. He was the loving husband of Irene A. (Carita) Stanovitch, to whom he was wed on October 14, 1973.
Born in Norwood, MA on June 25, 1951, he was a dear son of the late John and Marion (Palsic) Stanovitch.
A resident of Norton for the past 34 years, he had formerly lived in Norwood. Bill was educated in Norwood schools and was a graduate of the Norfolk Agricultural School in Walpole. A former Automotive Mechanic, Bill had been employed for 25 years at the Sears Roebuck Co. in Brockton.
A true outdoorsman , Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Wrentham Sportsman’s Club, the Stan Gibbs Fishing Club in Bourne, and was a former member of the Tri County Beagle Club in Mansfield.
Bill was an exceptional husband and father, and cherished the times spent being with his grandchildren. Another favorite activity that he shared with his family were the past wonderful 15 years spent camping with his wife at the Bourne Scenic Park on Cape Cod.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted daughters: Lisa S. Lovering and her husband Marc of Bourne and Angela DeMarco and her husband Paul of Wareham. The brother of John Stanovitch and Ron Stanoveotch both of Mansfield, Linda Taylor of Norwood, Joan Johnston of South Carolina and the late Gail Mohan, he is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Marisa and Ryan Lovering, Cameron, Alex, Breann and Mikenna DeMarco, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a time of remembrance celebrating Bill’s life on Sunday August 7th from 2-4 P.M. at the families residence on 9 Barrows Court in Norton.
