TEWKSBURY- Gladys B. Richards,81, died Wednesday evening, Feb 11, at the Lowell GeneralHospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Norwich, England, on August 29, 1922, one of 10 children of the late Ernest andDora (Tilbury) Crotch.
During WWII she served in the Royal Air Force. She came to America as a war bride in 1946 andresided with her husband, the late John R. Richards, in Marietta, OH. She was a home makermost of her life.
She is survived by five children: three sons, Steve and his wife Wendy (Lawrence) Richards ofLexington, VA, William and his wife Chris (Roth) Richards of Arnold, MD, Joseph Richards ofSandusky, OH; two daughters, Jane and her husband Edwin Cook of Norman, OK, Virginia andher husband Paul Flagg of Tewksbury, MA with whom Gladys resided; three sisters, Dora Smith,Margaret Crooks, and Beryl Hooper, all of Norwich, England; seven Grandchildren; 1 GreatGrandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
At her request funeral services will be private.
