Alcide “Arthur” LeBlond, 76, of W. Broadway, Derry died February 12, 2002 at the Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua following a lengthy illness. He was born in Manchester on May 28, 1925, a son of the late Rosaire and Alice (Lessard) LeBlond and was a resident of Derry for over 50 years. He had been employed for Standard Sash & Door and Merrimack Valley Wood Products, both in Derry. He was a past president of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Derry. He was the widow of Barbara LeBlond who died in 1998.
He is survived by one stepson and daughter in law, Charles (wife Beth) Targee of Derry, three grandchildren, Jean, Thomas, William and many friends.
There are no calling hours. Follow cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alcide LeBlond Memorial Fund, C/O BankNorth, Manchester Rd., Derry, NH 03038. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling arrangements.
