Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Barbara J. (Williams) Parisien, 56, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Tufts Medical Center, Boston with her longtime companion, Dwight “Moe” Montgomery by her side.
Born in Gloucester on August 24, 1954, she was the daughter of Leslie B. and Lois E. (Erwin) Williams. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and had attended Gloucester public schools.
She had been employed by Synventive Molding, the former Kona Corporation, for twenty-nine years. She was a member of the Amvets Post #32 of Gloucester.
Barbara enjoyed cooking, crafts, gardening, and loved animals, especially their cat, Wolfie. She was known to be a kind and caring person, who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her sense of humor and gentle ways will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents and Moe, she is survived by her daughter, Lani G. (Parisien) DeJesus and her companion, John Chamberlain; her grandson, Antonio Julia “AJ” DeJesus; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Glenn and Jeanne Williams, Scott Williams, Cliff and Kimberly Williams; and many friends, including lifelong friends, Nancy and Curtis Wren, Laurie and Jay Keefe and Anna and Barrett.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon in the Beechbrook Cemetery at 1 p.m. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday morning in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 10 to noon. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Cape Ann Animal Aid, 260 Main Street, Gloucester or to the Amvets Post #32 Scholarship Fund, 14 Prospect Street, Gloucester, MA 01930.
