Mary “Mamie” (Miranda) Makuch, age 95, of Fall River passed away July 26, 2011 in Taunton. She was the wife of the late Stanley Edward Makuch and the daughter of the late Manuel & Guilhermina (Motta) Miranda. Prior to retiring, Mary worked as a Sewing Machine Operator in the Needle Craft Industry and was a past parishioner of St. Joseph Church.
Mary was the mother of Elizabeth Langer & her husband Thomas of Rehoboth, Carolyn Donahue & her husband Frank of Somerset, and the late Thomas M. Makuch & his wife Susan of Brooksville, FL; the grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 14. She was the sister of the late Julia Carvalho, Evelyn Potvin, Alice Correa, Frank, Joseph, and Manuel Miranda.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on SATURDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 9:00 A.M.
