Obituary

Joseph A. Cornoni, 88, of Natick, passed away on July 25, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Anna M. (Blasotto) Cornoni with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.
Born in Somerville, the son of the late Louis and Clorinda (Fulgoni) Cornoni, Mr. Cornoni was raised and educated in Wellesley where he graduated from Wellesley High School. He was employed by F. Diehl & Sons for over 40 years. A dedicated and devoted family man, Mr. Cornoni especially enjoyed attending all of the sporting events and activities that his grandchildren participated in. A member of the Italo-American Club of Wellesley, Mr. Cornoni was an avid football and soccer fan who was also well known for his love of woodworking and “tinkering” with numerous projects.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Cornoni is survived by his devoted children, Paul Cornoni and his wife Catherine of Millis and Alan Cornoni and his wife Susan of Medway; his cherished grandchildren Michelle Murray and her husband Jamie of Milford, Paul Cornoni, Jr. and his wife Vanessa of Washington, D.C., Michael Cornoni 0f Lenexa, KA, and Jillian Cornoni of Waco, TX; and his great-granddaughters, Autumn Murray and Noelle Grace Cornoni. He was the dear brother of Louise Cormier of Wayland, Dorothy Barbieri of Wellesley, and the late Mae Drugan and uncle to many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Mr. Cornoni’s funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 9:00 AM to be followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church, Natick at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Natick. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 28 from 4-7 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Brookhaven Hospice, 6 Beech St. Framingham, MA 01702.
