THOMPSON, CT – Gerald T. Hilsman, 70, died Thursday, July 21, in St. Vincent Hospital.
He leaves 4 children, Jay D. Hilsman of Rehoboth, Khristine V. DeSimone and her husband Rocco of Lincoln, RI, Thomas G. Hilsman and his wife Jodi of Seward, PA and Andrew Hilsman of Rehoboth; 6 grandchildren, Kimberly, Jaclyn, Samantha, Stephen, Clay and Todd; a brother, Norman Hilsman of Fryburg, ME; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Attleboro, MA a son of Percy and Viola (Lachapelle) Hilsman. He was raised in Webster, MA and moved to Attleboro in the 1950’s. He also lived in Lisbon and Grosvenordale, before moving back to Webster, MA and then to Thompson. He was a graduate of Attleboro High School.
Mr. Hilsman worked as a manager for Janco Company at Burger Kings in Rhode Island, Webster and Worcester, MA for 30 years, retiring in 2006.
He attended Saint Louis parish.
He was an avid golfer and photographer.
Memorial calling hours will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, July 31, in the Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster, MA with a service at 5:00 PM.
