Marjorie L. (Fulton) Pelchat, 92, of Mansfield, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday July 24, 2011 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Eloi J. Pelchat who died on March 23, 1970.
Born in Attleboro, MA on February 24, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Julia (Goff) Fulton.
Marjorie grew up in North Attleboro and was educated in North Attleboro public schools. She had made her home in Mansfield for over 35 years.
Mrs. Pelchat was a retired stone setter and had worked for W.E. Richards in Attleboro for 10 years prior to retiring.
A former member of the Grace Episcopal Church in North Attleboro, Marjorie was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed playing bingo and treasured the many summers spent in Falmouth Heights on Cape Cod.
Family was the focal point of her life and she loved spending time in the presence of her adoring family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marjorie will always be remembered for the special place she held in her heart for animals and was a former breeder and shower of St. Bernard dogs.
She is survived by her devoted children Ronald Ferguson of Florida, Brenda Knight of Mansfield, Dennis Pelchat of Florida, David Pelchat and his wife Patricia of Mansfield and the late Robert Ferguson. The cherished grandmother of Kelly Morse and her husband Joseph and their sons Michael and Christopher of Mansfield, Kayla Cetrone and her husband Rick and their son Drew of North Attleboro, Brett Pelchat of Mansfield, Scot Ferguson of Mansfield, Andrea Castenada and her husband Luis and their children Luis and Alexandra of Mansfield, Glen Ferguson and his family of Florida, Cheryl Clements and her family of Florida and the late William Ferguson, Mrs. Pelchat was pre-deceased by her three brothers.
In accordance with Marjorie’s wishes, services and burial will be private. Visiting hours have been omitted.
