SOUTHBRIDGE-Samuel D. Serra, III, 57, of Southbridge, died Saturday, July 23rd in UMass-Memorial Hospital. He leaves his beloved companion, Cynthia Harrison, of Southbridge; his mother, Margaret T. (Back) Serra, of Largo, FL; three brothers, Anthnoy Serra of Southborough, James Serra of Bellingham, and Joseph Serra of Largo, FL; three sisters, Margaret Ritz of Mocksville, NC, Linda Migliozzi of Tampa, FL, and Kathleen Minkle of North Oxford; and several nephews and nieces.
He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Samuel D. Serra, Jr. and graduated from Algonquin Regional High School. He was a former member of the Bricklayers Union and enjoyed flea marketing and sports.
Calling hours are from 10:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Monday, August 1st in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. A service will be held at 12:30 P.M. following the calling hours. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
