Paul E. Prowse, of Plymouth, died on July 21st at Jordan Hospital at the age of 79. He is survived by his beloved wife Joan (Gellar), President of Gellar’s Snack Bar, of Manomet, his son Dennis Prowse and his wife Maureen of Norristown, PA and his daughter Candace Evans and her husband Bob of North Easton, MA. He also leaves his 2 grandchildren Ryan Evans and his wife Alisa of CA and Megin Brooks and her husband Brian of Virginia Beach, 1 great granddaughter Noa Brooks, his brother-in-laws Peter Gellar and his wife Ruth, Stephen Gellar and his wife Ruth Anne and his sister-in-law Susan Gellar all of Plymouth and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Paul was born in Burlington, VT and grew up in Arlington and Marshfield. He had worked for the Bechtel Corporation and Purolator Courier Corp, enjoyed the beach, camping and especially spending time with his family. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 28th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) from 4 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 29th at the 2nd Church of Plymouth in Manomet at 11 AM followed by burial at Manomet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to Jordan Hospital, 275 Sandwich St, Plymouth, MA 02360.
