Florence T. Sylvester, of Winchester, passed away July 20, 2011. She was the loving daughter of the late Ralph P. and Ersilia (Noviello) Sylvester. Born in Medford, she grew up in Winchester and graduated from Winchester High School. She attended design school in Boston where she honed her skills as a dress designer. After graduation, Ms. Sylvester relocated to Stamford, CT where she was employed as a designer by Vogue in New York City. In her spare time, Florence enjoyed embroidery, sewing, crafts, and loved making things for her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, family, and friends. Florence was the dear sister of Elsie M. Sylvester of Winchester and Irene DesMeules and her husband Joe of VT and the late Constance, Frank, Frances, Beatrice, and Cornelia Sylvester and Phyllis Richards. She was also the loving aunt of Peter, Frank, Mark, Ralph, Karen and Lisa and is further survived by many grand nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, on Mon., July 25th at 10AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
