Manchester– Gidget Y. Getty, 76, died July 22, 2011 at Elliot Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Lawrence, MA. on July 20, 1935 the daughter of John and Catherine (Rakowski)
St. Hilaire.
Prior to her retirement she worked at Carol Cable and Velcro USA.
She was full of life and always willing to lend a helping hand. She volunteered at the NH Food Bank.
She enjoyed watching professional wrestling. She loved all animals but her cats Willy and Rocky were her life and meant the world to her.
Members of her family include one son, David Bruce Getty of Port Orange, FL, two daughters, Norma Jean Simpson of Clemmons, NC, Janet Purinton and her husband Daniel of Weare, four grandchildren, Tonyia Wright, Ryan Purinton, both of Manchester, Jennifer Tweedy of San Luis Obispo, CA., and David B. Getty, Jr.. of Bunnell, FL.
