Beverly: Kenneth R. ‘ Buddy’ Beaver, age 92, of Beverly died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of Ruth A. (Meserve) Beaver, with whom he had shared 66 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn and raised in Saugus, he was the son of the late Reuben and Lena (Chute) Beaver. A graduate of Saugus High School, he lived most of his life in Lynn. Buddy was employed by General Electric for over 40 years as a tool and die maker in the aircraft division. It was at G.E. that he and Ruth met and in 1944 the couple married. During his retirement years, they lived in Leesburg, Florida. Several years ago the couple returned to the North Shore area.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by, a son, Dale W. Beaver and his wife Julie of Salem, a daughter, Jean A. and her husband Edward E. Belson of Rowley, 4 grandchildren, Mathew D. Beaver and Julie Pizzo both of Peabody, Kenneth Belson of Lynn and his fiancée Kristie Nadeau, Joshua Belson of Waltham and 3 great-grandchildren, Anthony, Rachel and Jayna. He was predeceased by a grandson Robert Belson and a sister, Helen Cripps.
