Randy Larry Harris, 30, of West Berrien went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2011 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Berrien County. Rev. Ryan Carnes and Rev. Jim Williams will officiate with burial to follow in Oakey Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County. Bert Owens, Joey Fletcher, Henry Parkerson, Ben Souter, Jerry White and Michael Powe will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be school bus drivers of Berrien County. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 24, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Harris was born on June 12, 1981 in Tift County and was the son of Larry Harris and Robin Conger Harris of West Berrien. He was a shop supervisor and diesel mechanic at the Berrien County bus shop. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Berrien County. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roy E. Conger.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Becky Nolen Harris of West Berrien; one son, Jacob Randy Harris of West Berrien; one daughter, Taylor Rayne Harris of West Berrien; his maternal grandmother, Joy Conger of West Berrien; his paternal grandparents, Olen and Ruby Harris of West Berrien; two sisters, Amanda Harris Shively of West Berrien and Sandy Harris Allen of Valdosta; three nephews, Cole Shively, Mason Shively and Luke White; and one niece, Savannah White.
