Doris G. LaPointe, age 83
Retired Administrative Assistant at Lowell Lingerie Co.
TEWKSBURY: Doris G. (Massey) LaPointe, age 83, retired Administrative Assistant to the President of Lowell Lingerie Company, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 19, 2011, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell.
She was the beloved wife of 62 years to Robert A. LaPointe, who passed away on May 6, 2010.
Born in Dracut on January 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William Massey and the late Mary A. (Ouellette) Massey.
Doris was raised in Lowell and graduated from St. Louis Academy in 1945.
Survivors include one son, Robert K. LaPointe and his wife Lynelle (Conserva) of Tacoma, WA; one daughter, Karen E. Cintolo and her husband John of Tewksbury; five grandchildren, Jason LaPointe of Boston, Robin Seiwerath and her husband Stephen of Tacoma, WA, Mark Cintolo and his wife Katie (O'Hara) of Wayland, John Cintolo and his girlfriend Anne Giordano, and Michael Cintolo all of Cambridge; three great grandchildren, Owen, Sean, and Henry Seiwerath; two sisters, Irene McKenzie of Florida and Yvette Smith of Dracut. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Doris was the sister of the late Raymond and Albert Massey, Rita Axon, and Jeanette Boisvert.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass to be celebrated on Saturday, July 23, at 10 a.m., at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Committal services will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. At the request of the family there are No Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Saints Foundation, 155 Merrimack St., P.O. Box 7075, Lowell, MA 01852-9928.
