Obituary

Salem, NH – Philip J. Giglio, 84, died Tuesday July 19, 2011 at the Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by his loving and compassionate family.
Philip was born in Lawrence, Ma. April 16, 1927 the son of Stefano and Francesca (DiGirolano) Giglio. He received his education in the Lawrence School System. During World War II he served his country in the United States Army before being honorably discharged.
For many years Mr. Giglio was employed as a Receiving Clerk with Western Electric of North Andover before his retirement in 1984.
A veteran of world war II he had been a member of the Lawrence Son’s of Italy, enjoyed playing cards, and was a true New England sports enthusiast.
The widower of Arlene A. (Assaf) Giglio, Philip is survived by his sister Tomasina, several nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews.
A Private graveside funeral service with Military Honors will take place at a later date.
