METHUEN – Mildred L. (Trussell) Dillon Obermeier 85 of Methuen died Sunday July 17, 2011 at Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Methuen and lifelong resident, Mildred was a graduate of the Edward F. Searles High School. For many years she had been employed as a computer operator with the I.R.S. in Andover. She was also a communicant of St. Monica’s Church in Methuen.
According to her family, she loved reading and was a wonderful mother.
Mildred is survived by her husband George C. Obermeier, and prior to his death she was married to James J. Dillon.
Survivors also include her children; James J. Dillon of Andover, Charles R. Dillon and his wife Ann of Ayer, MA, Kenneth R. Dillon and his wife Loretta of Andover, Michaelene M. and her husband Walter Ruggles of Virginia.
Seven stepchildren Mary P. and her husband Thomas Schnoring, Karen C. and her husband Robert Bauer, Denise P. and her husband Terry Shollar, Leslie Plona, Gregory and his wife Paula Obermeier, Gary and his wife Dorothea Obermeier and Glennon and his wife Carolyn Obermeier.
Nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Friday from 3:00p.m. – 5;00p.m. and 7:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, MA.
