
Ann E. (Perry) Pierce age 77 of Provincetown formerly of Norwell died at Seashore Point on July 18, 2011 following a long illness. Born in Provincetown, October 17, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Marion “Bert” and Mary (Fratus) Perry. She was a graduate of Provincetown High School, class of 1951.During her high school years she would work at the family business, Perry's Market, formerly located in the West End of Provincetown.
She was the wife of the late Donald Pierce. Mrs. Pierce lived in Norwell after she married,and remained there until moving back to Provincetown to Seashore Point recently. She was a devout Catholic. Besides her faith, her sense of enjoyment and purpose came from three areas of her life; her extended family, her years of devotion to raising money to cure cancer through her annual participation in the Pan-Mass Challenge and her commitment to the Norwell Council on Aging. She also served on the board of directors at the Norwell COA. She always looked forward to her trips to Disney World with her 2 nieces and their families. Through her strong sense of independence she lived with her illness with dignity and a quick wit.
She is survived by her sister Bertha Perry Woodfin of Provincetown, her two nieces, Sandy Woodfin of Provincetown and Kathy Olsen of Marlborough, NH, her 2 great nephews and 1 great niece.
