Bernardi, John L. Jr. - a lifelong resident of Lexington passed away July 19, 2011. Mr. Bernardi graduated from Lexington High School with the Class of 1961 and from Boston University. He received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1971. He was a Professor of Economics at Stonehill College, North Easton, MA and a Professor of Economic History at St. John’s University, New York. He was a member of The Friends of Economic History at Harvard University. Dr. Bernardi Published Twenty Years of Milk Marketing: A History of HP Hood & Sons. He is survived by his daughter Sarah Bernardi of Marlborough, his sister Deborah Collins of Honolulu, Hawaii, and cousins Thomas Dolan of Quincy and Eugene Belle of Chelmsford. A Graveside Service was held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington on Thursday July 21st.
