Joanna C. (Gonet) Smith, 94, of N. Dartmouth died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at home. She was wife of the late Lauchlan A. Smith.
Born in New Bedford, she was daughter of the late Joseph P. and Frances B. (Jazowski) Gonet. Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Bridgewater State Teachers College. Prior to retirement, she was a teacher in the Dartmouth School System.
Survivors include a son: Lauchlan A. Smith, Jr. of N. Dartmouth; a daughter: Joyce E. Vincent and her husband Antone of S. Dartmouth; 3 grandsons: Troy D. Vincent and his wife Frances, Tony S. Vincent and his wife Pranee and Richard C. Smith and his wife Loury; 3 great grandchildren: Amber, Alayna and Austin Vincent; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Augustine J. Gonet.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Allen’s Neck Friends Meeting Church, 739 Horseneck Rd., S. Dartmouth at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will be in Allen’s Neck Cemetery, S. Dartmouth.
