Warren Mattew Dillon:
Cape Neddick, Maine – Warren Matthew Dillon, age 78, of Cape Neddick, Maine and formerly of Cohasset and Norwell, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2011 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center , in Boston.
Husband of the late Margaret Ann Marshall Dillon of Deming, New Mexico and Cohasset, MA, loving father of Kathryn Dillon of Savannah, Georgia, Charles “Chuck” Dillon of Cape Neddick, Maine and James and Miriam Dillon of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Evan and Justin Schwarz of Dumont, New Jersey, Cameron and Timothy Dillon of Cape Neddick, Maine, Meaghan Dillon of Sheridan, Wyoming and Aidan Dillon of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Warren was the son of the late Schyler and Constance Warren Dillon of Norwell, MA. and the brother of, Schyler Dillon Jr. and Bill Dillon, both deceased, of Boston, MA.
Mr. Dillon attended Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, MA, Harvard College and Syracuse University where he studied Public Policy and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Dillon held various consultancy positions in the Boston area and spent more than 35 years working for the State of Massachusetts in the Tourism and Development office. He was an independent person with a great zest for life, travel and great food and he will be missed.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00am at the 2nd Congregational Church, 43 Highland Avenue, Cohasset, Ma. In lieu of flowers, donations in “Matt’s” memory may be made to The leukemia Society, www.LLS.Org/waystohelp.
