Obituary

AURORA, CO- John Patrick Gill, 34, of Aurora, formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, February 7th at home. He leaves his parents Edward J., Sr. and Helen (Kelly) Gill of Worcester, 3 brothers Edward J. Gill, Jr. of Richmond, VA, Thomas J. Gill of LaPlata, MD and Timothy K. Gill of Tolland, CT, 2 sisters Maryellen Gill of Southbridge and Nancy M. Gorneau of Gorham, ME, an uncle Timothy J. Kelly of Holden, an aunt Peg Vacca of Worcester, 4 nephews and 2 nieces.

He was born in Worcester and was a graduate of St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. He had served in the United States Marine Corp for five years and attained the rank of Sergeant. John had worked for Qwest Communications in Denver as senior network technician. Mr. Gill had been a long time member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish. He will best remembered for his independence, a wonderful sense of humor, his great artistic ability and love of literature. John was an avid skier, played the guitar and enjoyed playing pool and darts.

The funeral is Saturday, February 14th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in St. Roch’s Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Friday, February 13th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
