NEW ORLEANS, LA – Beatrice C. (Clark) Daby, 88, of New Orleans, formerly of Worcester died Wednesday, July 13th. Her husband, Walter N. Daby died in 2003. She leaves a daughter, Norma Gatlin and her husband, Karl of New Orleans, LA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ralph Daby, who died in 1964.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Leroy and Grace E. (Thayer) Clark and lived here all her life until moving to New Orleans in January. Beatrice was a clerk at Bancroft Oil Company, retiring in 1978 and previously worked for Standard Foundry Company. She was the Past Organist at Grace Baptist Church and Wesley Methodist Church. Beatrice was a member of the American Guild of Organists – Worcester Chapter, Worcester Art Museum and the Mass Audubon Society. She graduated from the Former High School of Commerce and attended Becker Business School.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 4th at 10:00 AM in Wesley United Methodist Church, 114 Main Street, Worcester. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
