McDermott, Ruth T. (McDermott) of Quincy formerly of Roxbury, passed away July 15, 2011.
Beloved sister of the late Hugh, Paul and William McDermott. She was the loving aunt of 9 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born in Boston and grew up in Roxbury. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Roxbury. Ruth worked for the Boston Housing Authority for many years as a maintenance clerk before retiring in 2009. Ruth was very active in the Teamsters Union. Most of all Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 8:30am-9:30am in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. QUINCY.
Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
Burial in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
