Sophie J. (Gadomski) Stupalski, 88, of Dartmouth died Friday, July 15, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was wife of the late Andrew H. Stupalski.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Stanley and Eleanor (Krysiak) Gadomski, she had lived in Dartmouth for most of her life. Mrs. Stupalski was a Communicant of St. George Church, Westport and a member of the Royal Travelers, New Bedford and the Polish Business and Professional Club, Fall River. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, taking care of her pets, but most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include 7 sons: Frederick J. Stupalski of FL, Michael R. Stupalski of FL, Peter J. Stupalski of New Bedford, Stanley E. Stupalski of SC, Walter D. Stupalski of Dartmouth, Edward S. Stupalski of Dartmouth and Anthony Stupalski of Acushnet; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Paul A. Stupalski and sister of the late Bruno Gadomski and Walter Gadomski.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at St. George Church, Westport at 11:00 AM.
Visitation will be from 8:30 – 10:30 AM prior to the Mass at POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Bedford.
