Corrine R. (Shea) Mahoney, age 78, of Brockton died Friday July 15, 2011 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital after a three year struggle with leukemia. She was the loving wife of the late Daniel F. Mahoney. Corrine was born and raised in Avon, a daughter of the late Burt and Amelia (Marino) Shea and had lived in Brockton for over 50 years.
A graduate of Avon High School, Corrine was a homemaker devoted to her home and family. She had held several part time jobs but enjoyed most being an administrative assistant with her daughter’s company Bright Language. Corrine loved to travel around the world with her daughter and being in the comfort of her own home with her family and friends. She had been a member of the Twentieth Century Catholic Club.
Corrine is survived by her two children through whom she lived her life, Mark Mahoney and his wife Crystal of Easton and Cathleen Mahoney of Paris, France. She was the proud grandmother of Christian Mahoney of Easton and sister of the late Robert Shea. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Sunday 3-6pm. Funeral procession forming Monday at the funeral home at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 AM. Burial in St. Michael ‘s Cemetery, Avon.
