Mary D. Swan, 98 of Derry, NH, died Monday, February 9, 2004 in the Haven Health Center in Derry. Mrs. Swan was born in Fall River, MA on April 5, 1905, a daughter of the late James F. and Margaret (Heaney) Toolin. She was a resident of Derry for 29 years, formerly living in Dorchester, MA. She had been employed as a sales associate for Almys Dept. Store. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda M. Dodge of Derry, one son, William J. Swan of Billerica, MA, five grandsons, two granddaughters, nine great grandchildren, one sister, Margaret McNamara of Norwood, MA, one brother, Edward V. Toolin of Tiverton, RI, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband J. Edgar Swan who died in 1967 and two children Joan M. and Robert E.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 12th at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave. Derry. The burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury, MA. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6 - 9 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH.
