WEBSTER – John “Jack” McGinnis, 74, of 31 Brodeur Avenue, died Saturday, July 9, 2011 in UMass/Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his family at Brodeur Avenue: Rose, Virginia and Bill; and many friends at Life Skills.
He was born in Boston and lived here for many years. He worked at Life Skills on Morris Street in Webster until 1985, and then at the Center of Hope in Southbridge for about 25 years.
Jack liked socializing with people, watching old movies, bird watching and tending to his fish at his home. He always wanted to help others.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 18, 2011 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Entombment will be in the columbarium at Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. There are no calling hours. Donations in his name may be made to Life Skills South/Central Residential Programs, 44 Morris Street, Webster, MA 01570. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
