Lizzie Lee Bryant Harper, age 85, Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Shady Acres Convalescent Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Harper was born on October 21, 1925 to the late William Cullen and Ardelia Joyce Bryant in Pearson, GA. She was employed at Spectrum Industries as an inspector; her church membership was at Salem Holiness Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Salem Holiness Baptist Church with interment following in the Salem Church Cemetery. Survivors include: son: Russell Harper, Millwood, GA; daughter: Hilda (Ed) McKinnon, Douglas, GA; sisters: Fanny Cleveland, New Smyrna Beach, FL, Patricia Yawn, Byron, GA, Mary Jane Kight, Parson, KS; brothers: Ralph Bryant, LeaD, sd, John Bryant, Milledgeville, GA, Jack Bryant, Jackson, GA, Orvill Bryant, Walterboro, SC, Junior Bryant, Norfolk, VA, Charles Bryant, Panama City, FL; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Sims Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
