Mr. John P. Dugas, age 69 of Medford, died Friday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. He is the husband of Marianne (Miele) Dugas with whom he shared more than 50 years of marriage. He is the son in law of John and Josephine Miele of Medford. Mr. Dugas was born in Boston, son of the late Oliver and Rita (Philips) Dugas. He was an Insurance Agent for Prudential Insurance Company for over 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, sailing and taking particular care of his car. Mr. Dugas is a graduate of Boston Trade High School class of 1959 and joined the U.S. Navy upon graduation.
He is survived by three sons: Philip J Dugas and his wife Deborah of Medford, Stephen J. Dugas of Plymouth, Michael J. Dugas of Reading, Loving grandfather of Nicole Salera and her husband Joseph, Cassandra Dugas and Fiance` Patrick McKenna and Anthony Dugas, Great Grandfather of Casey Doyle and Philip Salera. Dear brother of Carol Cool of SC., Leona Hurley of CT., Robert Dugas of Abington, Daniel Dugas of Lunenburg and the late Louise Dugas. Also survived by several nieces,nephews and cousins. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 pm. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
