WORCESTER;Bion T. Wheeler, Jr. 89 of 1183 Main St., died Wednesday Feb. 4th at The Washburn House in Worcester. He was the husband of Virginia (Rosever) Wheeler who died in 1987. He leaves twin daughters, Judith W. wife of Richard McGauran of Talladega, Fl., and Nancy W. wife of Peter Martinson of Leicester, four grandaughters, Kelley Mantione, Jennifer Segalla, Molly McGauran and Stephanie Bernabei, three great grandchildren Maxwell, Ian and Ella Segalla, nieces and nephews. He is predeaeased by a sister June Whitlock. Mr. Wheeler was a Financial Secretary at Mass. Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Springfield where he worked from 1934-77. He graduated from Agawam High School and attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. He once served on the Wilbraham Planning Board and was a member of many area Bridge Clubs. He enjoyed reading, golf and especially playing bridge. Born in Springfield, he was the son of Bion T. and Annie G. (Smith) Wheeler, Sr. and lived in Wilbraham from 1954-1994 before moving to Leicester. He resided at The Washburn House in Worcester since 2000. Graveside Services will be held Saturday Feb. 14 at 1p.m. in Woodland Dell Cemetery, Woodland Dell Rd., Wilbraham. There are no calling hours.
