Obituary

Manchester– Marcel J. Gionet, 86, died July 7, 2011 at his home following a brief illness.
He was born in North Woodstock on October 31, 1924 the son of Joseph and Anna (Poulin) Gionet.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for the U.S. Government as well as in Transportation for Silver Brothers. Lastly, he worked at Lambert’s Garage. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Ida (Gionet) Blais in 2010.
Family members include his wife of 34 years, Rhoda (Barton) Gionet of Manchester, 5 sons, Marc Gionet of Hooksett, Ray Gionet of Manchester, Richard Gionet of New Market, Cleon Gionet of Arizona, Johnathan Gionet of Manchester, 1 daughter, Rhonda O’Donnell of Manchester, 21 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Roland Gionet, Albert Gionet, 4 sisters, Lorraine Gionet, Mary Jane Gionet, Shirley Gionet, Theresa Gionet all of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: There are no calling hours.
A chapel service with military honors will take place on Monday July 18, 2011 at 1 PM in NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family in order to defray funeral expenses, C/O J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. Manchester, NH 03101.
