BURKE, Rose Marie (Mollica)- Of Chelsea, July 7th at 101 years of age. Devoted wife of the late Nicholas Tammaro and William F. Burke. Daughter of the late Angelo and Elizabeth (Bucci)Mollica. Beloved mother of Mary Cooksey of Chelsea, Robert Burke of Falmouth, Virginia Milliken of Vermont, Elizabeth Havens of Texas, Joseph Burke of Randolph, James Burke of Chelsea, Gerald Burke of North Grafton, Nicholas Burke of Randolph and the late John Burke, Jenny Gallant and Marjorie Parsons. Step mother of Miriam Mullens of Lynn and the late Catherine O'Connor, Alice Rimcus, Teresa Attardi, William Burke, Helen MacAfee and Ester Way. Dear sister of Virginia Casino of Chelsea, Tony Mollica of Everett, Victor Mollica of Florida and the late Marion McCarthy, Catherine Russo, Josephine Howe and John Mollica. Also lovingly survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to atted a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Tuesday, July 12th at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway, Chelsea at 11 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. A member of the Chelsea community for over a Century and matriarch of a large and popular Chelsea family, Rose passed away peacefully late Thursday evening at the Eastpointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief stay for supportive care. Retiring as manager of the Chelsea Naval Hospital in 1973, she was a member of the Beachmont VFW and the DAV Post 62.
