Obituary

GEORGE F. WADEGeorge F. Wade of Middleton New Hampshire, formerly of Walpole and Needham died on Sunday February 8, 20024 at his home .He was 86 years old. Born in Needham he attended Needham Public Schools and Wentworth Institute. George also took courses in York PA for air conditioning and refrigeration. Mr. Wade was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He met his wife June in 1946 while working for Pepsi Cola Corporation as a delivery truck driver. Later he moved to California and worked harvesting redwoods and sequoias for sawmills. George also worked for White Brothers as a mechanic, at Raytheon as a supervisor and at Hazeltine Corporation as a maintenance supervisor. He retired from Hazeltine in 1981. A Walpole resident for 37 years, Mr. Wade moved to Middleton NH, next door to his daughter in 1990. George was an avid fisherman. He fished the Matan River in Quebec, was a guide in the Klamath River in California and was a salmon fishing guide off the coast of California. He enjoyed deer hunting and raising beagles for bird hunting. The beloved husband of June (Wing) he was the father of Robert G. and his wife Ann of Chatham, formerly of Needham, James W. and his wife Fran of West Tremont ME, Darlene J. Cremmen and her husband Daniel of Middleton NH and the late John F. Wade. Also survived 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday February 12 at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham at 11:30 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the service. Interment will be at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
