
Paul Russell Cassidy, 74, of Medfield, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Cummings) Cassidy since 1963.
Born in Boston on July 13, 1936, he was a son of the late William and Beatrice (Shepperson) Cassidy.
Mr. Cassidy graduated from Needham High School in 1954 and the Coyne Engineering School in Boston. He was a resident of Medfield since 1963.
Before his retirement, he was an electrical design engineer at Stone & Webster Engineering in Boston.
Mr. Cassidy greatly enjoyed God’s creation, walking in the woods of Vermont, rocky shores of Maine and the warm ocean of Cape Cod. He past his time with his family on numerous vacations, building and sailing boats as well as model trains.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Cassidy and his wife Claire of Chelmsford and Joel Cassidy and his wife Tammy of Holliston and seven grandsons.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service in the Medway Community Church, 193 Main St. in West Medway on Tuesday, July 12 at 11 a.m.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 11 from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway.
